Best Darts Under €50

How to find good-value tungsten darts under €50 without sacrificing the barrel specification that matters to your throw.

How to find good-value tungsten darts under €50 without sacrificing the barrel specification that matters to your throw.

Start with the barrel specification

At this price, put most of your attention on the barrel. Flights, shafts and cases are inexpensive to replace, while the barrel determines the weight, dimensions, balance and grip you feel on every throw.

Look for tungsten, not decoration

Tungsten allows a slimmer barrel than brass at the same weight. An 80% or 90% tungsten set with a straightforward finish can offer better practical value than a heavily styled dart whose shape does not suit your grip.

Choose a versatile shape

A straight or gently tapered barrel is a safe shortlist choice because it accommodates more grip positions. A strongly torpedo-shaped or specialist barrel can work brilliantly, but it is a bigger gamble if you have not already tested that shape.

Do not chase the highest grip level

Aggressive cuts are not automatically better. A moderate ring grip gives useful feedback while being less likely to catch during release. Only prioritise a very sharp grip if slipping is a recurring problem.

Compare exact dimensions

Two 23g darts can feel entirely different. Check length and maximum diameter as well as weight. If you already own a comfortable barrel, use its measurements as the starting point for your shortlist.

What good value looks like

A strong under-€50 choice is a tungsten barrel in a usable weight, with dimensions suited to your grip and replaceable standard components. The best deal is the set you can keep using—not simply the lowest price.
